Terms and Conditions
- When making a booking by phone or in person, you agree to the following:
a. Balance is due 14 days from booking date.
b. If payment is not made in full on the due date, management has the right to cancel the booking.
c. Bookings made within 14 days of the arrival date are required to make the full payment
d. If paying by credit card, a 2% surcharge will be charged - Payment will be taken as your acceptance of these Booking Terms and Conditions.
When cancelling a booking you acknowledge and agree that:
- All bookings must be paid within 14 days from date of booking.
- John Gardiner Ski Club does not issue refunds once accommodation is paid for.
- Changing dates of booking is considered to be a cancellation
- However, we will work with you, to try to re-sell the booking. If we do re-sell, then we will refund your monies, less a commission / administration fee of 15%
- Changing dates of booking is considered to be a cancellation
- No refunds are given to customers due to lack of snow or bad weather conditions
- No Shows will be considered as a cancellation
- Cancellations are not accepted for bookings from a third party- eg Expedia, AirBNB
Refunds will not be given in the event of Power outages or such events beyond our control.
- Management disclaims all responsibility and accepts no liability in respect of any errors or misdescriptions and all associated disappointment, loss, inconvenience, expense or injury caused. Without liability, we will not be responsible if the product is not available due to civil unrest, industrial disputes, and interruptions to power supply, adverse weather conditions, health risk or terrorist activity.
- Management reserves the right to charge a refundable accommodation bond for all accommodation at the time of arrival. This may be done via a pre-authorisation to your nominated credit card, or an alternative credit card to be provided at the time of check in. Upon your departure, an inspection of the premises will be conducted and the pre-authorised funds will be released back to the credit card, failure to leave the premises in a suitable, clean and tidy manner will result in a cleaning fee being charged and consequently a loss of bond. This also applies to loss or damage to accommodation keys, where a $35 fee may be charged.
- Management reserves the right to request that guests ‘check out’ on the day of departure prior to the designated ‘check out’ time. Failure to ‘check out’ at the designated time may result in a $50.00 per hour late check-out fee.
- Management reserves the right to charge for any damage, breakages or theft that occurs by you or your guests during your stay.
- You agree to pay and be responsible for any damage or losses caused to the bed/rooms or facility as a result of any action by yourself, your guests and invitees, and will immediately notify management of any such damage or loss. Failure to do so will lead to prosecution to the full extent of the law.
You agree to indemnify John Gardiner Ski Club directors from and against all claims, suits, actions and demands made against John Gardiner Ski Club directors which arise out of the use of the lodge and its facilities by directors, guests and invitees.
You acknowledge and agree that the following additional conditions apply:
- Guests must be at least 18 years old to stay without parental/guardian supervision.
- We expect that all guests behave in a courteous manner. Any guests, and/or group, that behaves in an antisocial manner may be refused any future bookings and/or requested to vacate the lodge immediately without refund.
- Overfilling a room is not permitted. If a booking brings more guests than a) the room is listed to occupy or b) are paid for, John Gardiner Ski Club reserve the right to charge a fee of $100 per additional person per night.
- Accommodation is to be left in a clean and tidy condition by checkout. In the event that the guest leaves dishes unwashed, and without rubbish removed, a cleaning fee may be charged to the nominated credit card.
- All accommodation is smoke-free. In the event that guests smoke or allow others to smoke, a cleaning charge of $300 shall be charged to the guest’s account.
No pets or domestic animals of any description are allowed at the Resort. The only exception being for all service animals.
